2023-24 NAIA Women's Basketball Player of the Week - No. 2 (December 12)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Maya Buckhanon of Fisk (Tenn.) has been named the NAIA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Buckhanon was selected based on their performance from December 4 - 10 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Players of the week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Women's Basketball Player of the Week 

Maya Buckhanon, Fisk (Tenn.) – SR – Power Forward

  • Recorded a double-20 with 26 points and 23 rebounds against Wiley (Texas).
  • Notched at least a double-double, scoring over 25 points and over 10 rebounds in all three contests last week.
  • Posted a 57.1 field goal percentage on the week.
  • Added six blocks to her stat line, along with one steal.
