2023-24 NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches Top 25 Rating - No. 1 (November 8)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Campbellsville (Ky.) Tigers remained at No. 1 with all 21 first-place votes in the latest edition of the 2023-24 NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Rating. Only three teams remained in the same spot as the preseason rating in Briar Cliff (Iowa), Cumberlands (Ky.) and Mid-America Christian (Okla.). Two new teams entered the Top 25 in Georgetown (Ky.) and Indiana South Bend. Concordia (Neb.) made the most significant jump up six spots to No. 11, while Providence (Mont.) made its way up five spots to No. 18.
Rating Methodology
- The rating was rated by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated groups.
- The Coaches' Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second place and so on through the list.
- The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team's ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
- Teams that receive only one point on the ballot are not considered "receiving votes"
