KANSAS CITY, Mo. — James Williamson III of Southeastern (Fla.) has been named NAIA Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week and Andrew Schmitz of Donae (Neb.) has been selected as the NAIA Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from January 1 - 7 and were selected out of a pool of nominees from across the country.

Players of the week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

James Williamson III, Southeastern (Fla.) - JR

• Competed at the Barons Invitational
• Finished second of 20 in 60 meters with a time of 6.81
• Finished first of 26 in 200 meters with a time of 21.27
• Currently holds the 3rd fastest time in the 200 meter

NAIA Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week  

Andrew Schmitz, Doane (Neb.) - SO

• Competed in the Ward Haylett Invite
• Finished first of 14 in weight throw with a mark of 18.01
• Finished third of 13 in shot put with a mark of 14.69
• Recorded a personal best in weight throw
