2023 NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Rating - No. 5 (October 4)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Mid-America Christian (Okla.) remains the clubhouse leader in the newest NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Rating with 13 first place votes. Second place Dalton State (Ga.) receives one vote as the top team nationally with St. Thomas (Fla.) earning the final four votes to land in third. Grace (Ind.) continues its hold on fourth with Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) rounding out the top 5. Missouri Baptist makes the largest leap up the standings while Indiana Wesleyan and Union (Ky.) also moved higher. Westcliff (Calif.) rejoins the Top 25 this week.
Rating Methodology
- The rating was rated upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, Association of Independent Institutions and Unaffiliated Groups.
- The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each rater ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place and so on through the list.
- The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team's ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
- Teams that receive only one point in the ballot are not considered "receiving votes."
