NAIA Men’s Basketball All-Star Game Teams Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the rosters of the 2020 NAIA Men’s Basketball All-Star Game on Thursday. The two teams will compete as part of the 2020 NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship.

The game, set for championship night on Tuesday, March 24 at 6:00 p.m. will feature many of the top players from both divisions I and II and will be coached by a pair of the top coaches in both.

Kelly Wells, a staple of the NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship in Kansas City will coach the east. Coach Wells will end his tenure as head coach at Pikeville (Ky.) at the conclusion of the 2019-20 season where he will step down to focus on his duties as Director of Athletics. Wells entered the season with 313 wins over the course of 14 seasons.

Al Bruehl, current head coach at Robert Morris (Ill.) will head the west squad. Coach Bruehl is in his 27th season at Robert Morris and has amassed over 600 wins in his career on the men’s side. The 2019-20 season marks his second coaching both men’s and women’s programs.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. CST at Municipal Auditorium on March 24 and tickets are $20 for the event, or free with the purchase of a ticket for the NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship game, scheduled for 8:00 p.m. the same evening.
