2024 NAIA Baseball Players of the Week - No. 5 (March 26)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Alec Ackerman of Bellevue (Neb.) has been named the NAIA Baseball Player of the Week. Grant Besser of Indiana Tech has been named the NAIA Baseball Pitcher of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from March 18-24 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unafilliated group nominees.
Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and Twitter.

NAIA Baseball Player of the Week
Alec Ackerman, Bellevue (Neb.) - SR - INF
- Ackerman was strong at the plate last week posting a .800 batting average in 20 plate appearances.
- Tallied 16 hits, three doubles, one triple, and one homerun, batting in 11 RBI.
- Posting a .818 OPB and a 1.200 slugging percentage, Acherman also tallied 24 total bases and five extra base hits.
NAIA Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Grant Besser, Indiana Tech - JR - LHP
- Besser tossed seven full innings in the road win over Michigan-Dearborn.
- Allowed five hits and no runs while striking out 13 batters.
- Averaged 16.71 strikeouts per nine innings.
