In 2014, Kevin Dee was named NAIA Vice President for Campus and Conference Initiatives. In this role, he leads the membership recruitment and retention strategy, works with councils and committees on NAIA governance, and coordinates service to conferences and member institutions. Since 2008, he has also served as Vice President for Administration and Finance, managing the financial operations of the NAIA, the eligibility center, and the Champions of Character Foundation.
After joining the NAIA in 1993 as an intern in the sports information department, Kevin worked as a championship event coordinator from 1994 through 1999. In 1999, Kevin was named Assistant Director of Championships and was assigned the position of tournament director for the Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship from 1999 to 2007.
Early in his NAIA career, Kevin was selected for assignment for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta. He was a member of the press operations leadership team during the inaugural Olympic year for softball.
Kevin’s local involvement has included the Kansas City Sports Commission, VisitKC, the Downtown Council of Kansas City, and Kansas Special Olympics.
Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kevin is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Statistics in 1993.
