NAIA Hires Nick Davidson as Vice President of Membership Recruitment & Retention

Kansas City, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is excited to announce the hiring of Nick Davidson as the vice president of membership sales. In this newly developed position, Davidson will focus exclusively on recruiting and retaining NAIA member institutions.

"I am excited to work with the NAIA team in continuing to offer great opportunities for small college athletic growth," said Davidson. "Collaborating with NAIA member presidents, commissioners, and athletic directors on retention initiatives and recruiting new members to the NAIA will be exciting and rewarding work."

Davidson most recently served as vice president for intercollegiate athletics at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich. During his tenure, the Aquinas athletic department increased student-athlete enrollment by 45 percent. Davidson also created a new scholarship model and decreased the net tuition discount rate for student-athletes. Prior to Aquinas, he served as director of athletics at Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Fla.

"Nick's success overseeing athletics at multiple NAIA institutions will be advantageous when recruiting new members to the association," said NAIA President and CEO Jim Carr. "This is a critical position to the NAIA's growth and I'm confident that Nick's experience and insight will result in an increased number of NAIA member institutions."

Davidson begins his new role June 1, 2023.
